We are looking into the possibility of getting an ISDN connection to our
network we are currently looking into a Assend Pipeline 50 router. This
is to supply our company with internet access and hopefully allow(using
the 2nd B channel) a couple of people to log into either our SUN Sparc 20
and/or our Novell 4.1 network. Is this possible to log into either. We
currently have no special software running on either system.
Here is exacly the situations we would like to be able to accomplish
1. connect to the novell server and run programs, etc from remote PC.
2. connect to the sun using some sort of X-window emulator on a
remote pc.
3. connect though the Assend router from a remote PC using tcp/ip stack to
the internet (both using one of the b channels)
Any idea on the hardware/software needs to to the above would be greately
appricated.. Oh Using solaris 2.3 on the sparc.
Plase email responces, since I don't read all these newsgroups often..
Thank in advance.
Troy
