Ok. A few months ago we had a file corruption problem with our 4.1 server and a seagate 4G drive. We finally figured out that over 1.g support should be disabled on the adaptec SCSI controller.. everything worked after we reformatted (low-level) the disks. However.. now.. the files I restored from tape. some of them evidently were corrupted still and were written in a corrupted format. If someone tries to access these files the server utilization jumps from 5-10% to 95-100% and does not allow people to log-in.. So I would like to erase these files, but whenever I try, it hangs the PC and utilization goes up. I have tried to do a vrepair on the volume w.o any success. Still does the same thing. I would like to see if there is a way to fix this without backing up/deleting/restoring the volume.. Thanks. Troy
