Hear, hear. Warp's multimedia, which has never been real
strong, is in need of some serious reconstitution, although
if we're still not sure about an Aurora client there isn't
much reason to hope IBM will do much to improve sound
performance. And whatever happened to GRADD? The last
version didn't work on this Matrox at least. And it would
be nice to be able to install Java or a fixpack without
having to worry about which version of IF you've got or
whether your version of unzip will work. For that matter,
I'm still seeing enough reports of broken winos2 to put me
off fixpack 10. And how about doing something about video
performance? At this point I'm doing a significant amount
of browsing using the Win3.1 version of Communicator --
apart from the fact it doesn't give me these hangs or
diskthrashing stalls, it just renders pages much more
nicely. And quickly -- but of course let's not blame IBM
for the defects of Communicator/2. Well, ok, until they get
another version out.
