Nah, nothing so complicated, it's just an OS/2 batchfile you stick in the root of your system bootup directory to run things you wish run each time you boot. Mine's detach I:\MMOS2\ESDAEMON ES18691$ cd D:\os2\cron D: detach cron > i:\cron.log > i:\cron.err EXIT That said, REXX (none of that in here, as you can see) is definitely worth knowing -- not that I do very well, but an extremely rich and useful scripting language, about as easy to learn as something so thorough can be. > >Do you know where I can learn about it? >Do you have working examples of such a command program file? >I think it's time I started learning Rexx and this seem like a good way to >start. > >TIA , > >Inaki > >-- >Inaki Gonzalez Email:igonzal@ibm.net >[Sydney, Australia] > >-- > >Morris Turpin wrote: > >> Here's what I use in my startup.cmd file: >> >> for %a in (d e f g h i j k l m) if exist %a:\chkdsk.* del %a:\chkdsk.* >> >> In case you don't understand the above, it checks for drives d: >> through m: inclusive.
