The only on-line help reference (very short and unclear) could be found in help screen for START command. Type HELP START in OS/2 window to get it. STARTUP.CMD is a simple batch file (yes, similar to DOS AUTOEXEC.BAT) which is executed automatically (if found in the root dir of boot partition) on each system boot up, prior to WPS/Desktop initialization. This is NOT a REXX script, just a simple batch file. You can read more about OS/2 bacth programming by typing HELP BATCH in OS/2 window. >Do you know where I can learn about it? >Do you have working examples of such a command program file? I think >it's time I started learning Rexx and this seem like a good way to >start. Again, STARTUP.CMD is NOT a REXX script. AFAIK REXX is loaded during WPS initialization, thus you can't use REXX interface from STARTUP.CMD. You can however put REXX scripts in your Startup folder, since programs in Startup folder are executed just AFTER the WPS is up and running. That's the main difference between STARTUP.CMD and Startup folder. Also, since Startup folder is a part of WPS, you can also start ANY WPS object through it, not only plain executable programs.
