I'm not sure about this, but I think the -k option is meant to make a zip file compatible with the OS/2 version of PKUNZIP. The PKWare utilities for OS/2 were left at version 1.x, so they can't extract the zip-2.0 files that the current PKWare DOS utilities and InfoZip provide. >What about files with extended attributes? The PKWare DOS utilities are available at most FTP sites that have DOS apps. I usually use ftp.wustl.edu or one of its mirrors. If for some reason it doesn't work, the InfoZip utilities have been compiled for DOS and Win32. They should be available wherever you find DOS and Windows apps. You can make them available to your users on your network. It will certainly do the "right thing" when extracting files with EAs. Furthermore, you'll have a common interface for your DOS, Windows and OS/2 users, since it will be the same program for everybody. ---------------------+--------------------------------------------------------+ David Charlap | The contents of this message are not the opinions of | david@visix.com | Visix Software, nor of anyone besides myself. | Visix Software, Inc. +------------------------------------------------+-------+ Member of Team-OS/2 | Vote Dogbert for supreme ruler of the universe | ---------------------+------------------------------------------------+
