VisualAge Java for OS/2 was supposed to be released in June. Has anyone seen this product or know when the *real* release date is likely to be? Please repond by email. Thanks. George Wiley.

Indelible Blue is taking orders now. I believe delivery was due the last week of June or first week of July. IB is offering VA for Java for $89.00, $10.00 cheaper than direct from IBM. ----------------------------------------------------------- // Douglas F. IBM's original press release notes the release dates as: Planned Availability Dates: July 25, 1997 for VisualAge for Java Professional for OS/2,v1 and August 8, 1997 for VisualAge for Java Enterprise for OS/2, v1. So the deadline has not yet passed. BTW, BlueBird will be released 3 months early. -- The OS/2 Guy os2guy@warpcity.com http://www.warpcity.com Home of Warp City Online Services -----------------------------------------

Well if there a month late, people will complain, but if it is an OS from a certain Microsoft, and it is a year late, people just accept and worship it anyway. It just doesn't make sence.... Let's really rag on IBM for being LATE and for listing OS/2 first in the download list! ;-) Gilbert --

Well, they've got something out but it's only available by http: download, and since that's a chancy thing (you can't restart it on a partial file) maybe Joshua will permit it to rest there at hobbes/incoming for a bit while anybody who needs to REGET it can do so. Register at: http://www.software.ibm.com/ad/vajava before you grab this file, to try to keep IBM happy. Good luck, Buddy Buddy Donnelly shagpage@shadow.net

Pardon me, but have you tried: ftp://hobbes.nmsu.edu/pub/new/oenty100.zip Don't forget the ftp interface... It is faster, too! >Register at: http://www.software.ibm.com/ad/vajava before you grab this >file, to try to keep IBM happy. > > >Good luck, > >Buddy > >Buddy Donnelly >shagpage@shadow.net > >
