This is a pretty good list but is not complete, of course.  There
are other lists that need to be incorporated into this one if we really
need just one list.  Here is two repeats from earlier posts and one new
one that I haven't seen before.

1. Command line editing should have an option to start in insert mode.

2. The keyboard needs to be reprogrammable.  Specifically I need to SWAP
the control key and the caps lock key.  APAR PJ11934 filed as an
enhancement request but not considered important by IBM people.

The spooler needs some ease of use improvements.  I am a user that has
os/2 loaded on my laptop.  Often I don't have the printer attached to my
machine and use the printer spooler to permit me to print later or to view
what the output would look like without having to print it out.  The
user interface is a bit combursome when used in this way.  You can't put
the current printing job on hold, even though the printer is unavailable.
If the entire queue is set on hold ahead of time then DOS programs won't
print multiple printouts nor can you easily release one at a time other
otherwise work dynamically with the print queue.
