First, thanks for the great list.  I want most things on the list
and don't object to the rest.

There is one thing I think was overlooked.  The proposed chagne
in the use of STARTUP.CMD to be run every time an OS/2 Window
opens.  Was that any kind of window or was it a CMD window.  If
the latter, the function is already performed by OS2INIT.CMD.
If the former, I would prefer a way to change the base set of
environment variables inherited by every program without the
penalty of loading and executing a batch file for every time I
open a window.
