I found a workaround (this is me answering myself here).  If I REM out
all Lantastic and IAK TCP/IP statements from CONFIG.SYS, I can do the
Selective Install without any problems whatsoever.  So it just requires
rebooting a couple of times.  (I wish I didn't have to do that though.)
