Mustafa,
John Soyring (who is "Director of the business unit networking project",
and the "boss" of Paul Giangarra) stated on CeBit, that IBM continues to
develop OS/2 "for the foreseeable future, _at least_ ten years from now".
A page with all his statements is in preparation right now. I will post
the URL when it is finished.
Regarding your question about who these customers are (or is), sorry, I do
not know, but Mr Soyring also stated, that the Bank of China and Honkong
signed a contract with IBM to switch _all_ workstations to OS/2. I have no
exact numbers, because IBMs own information on this varies (they have a
dot between the numbers, and it is placed on different positions on
different texts, so ...)
John Soyring also stated some interessting facts regarding the further
development of OS/2, and IBMs investments in OS/2. They will be published
on the page mentioned above.
