I have this configuration and, while I have succeffully installed 
my new Ferengi CD with it, I have indeed been having difficulty.  The
only driver I've been able to find is a Sony BETA driver (from the
Sony BBS, dated 5/93).

I see a CD-rom object in the drives folder, and the root directory
is displayed in it.  However, when I double-click on any subdirectory,
my system "locks"; I can do nothing but move the mouse around and
reboot with ctrl-alt-del.

So, my conjecture is, yes, it should work, but we both could use
some help!
