I've just learnt that I may have made a very silly blunder. I simply
plugged the coax cable in at both NICs, when I should perhaps of used T
plugs each with a terminator in one side. Would this explain all my
difficulties?
Tomorrow I'm off to buy two T plugs and 2 terminators: watch this space.

Simon
