I just received an upgrade form for Microsoft MASM 6.1. Does anyone know if it will still run under OS/2 as an OS/2 application like MASM 6.0?

I WROTE A LETTER ASKING FOR INFORMATION ABOUT AN OS/2 COMPABLE VERSION. ALL PROGRAMMERS! Please do the same! If we send enough request to the MASM division of Microsoft, perhaps they will consider us real enough to be included in future releases. They give you a postage free envelope. Just add a note (preferrably on company letterhead) saying: "Thank you for the information concerning MASM 6.1. However, we are committed to supporting OS/2 environments. Would you please send me information on a 32 bit version of MASM supporting OS/2 2.0. Thank you." -- Michael O. Don't forget to put an "ATTN: Management" (or something like that) in the address or it will probably just be tossed out by some data entry sales person who doesn't want to get out of his chair to forward it. (People are lazy these days) I happened to have the C/C++ w/ Win31 SDK upgrade envelope sitting arround so I have also sent in a letter in regards to my disapointment in MSC no longer supporting OS/2 development. In it I also wrote that many other comp.os.os2.programmer subscribers would also be sending letters of decline. Ok, this was presumptous of me, but I figure were all have at least similar complaints. As long as Mr. Gates has blinkers on, your plea will fall on deaf ears. I'd like to see a good, third-party m. asm. come out that doesn't use Microsoft or Borland anything. You know what happens to people who buy operating systems and compilers from potential competitors. When they need support, they get the chromium-plated shaft!! cpk -- "The WHITE ZONE is for loading and unloading only. If you gotta load or un- load, go to the WHITE ZONE. You'll love it.
