OK, this has probably been asked zillions of times before, but I can't find the answer anywhere, so I will have to ask it again. When linking a program that uses the iostream library, I get the following error: C:\IBMC\LIB\dd34sbs.lib(H:\OS2\OLDFORM.C): Error L2025: WS__FR7istream : symbol defined more than once. Here are my options: Compiler: -c -Oi -Fd+ -I. Linker: /NOE Help! It's frustrating to be able to compile beautifully without being able to link! :) cpk -- "The WHITE ZONE is for loading and unloading only. If you gotta load or un- load, go to the WHITE ZONE. The Iostream libraries are not shipped on the PDK CD ROM for licensing reasons (i.e. not everyone who orders the PDK needs it). If you need to use the USL Libraries (Iostream, Complex Numbers, Task Library - I think that is the list), you must call IBM and order them. You should have received a cardboard diskette image with the CD with information on who to call so that you will be sent the USL libraries. If you no longer have the cardboard image send me email and I will dig up the needed information for you. I should have looked closer at the message listed. I thought the message was WS_FR7istream not found. You obviously have the Iostream diskette. The correct answer is to use the NOI option for linking. Again, my apologies for misreading your original posting.
