Did you have to install the recent version of IBMIDECD.FLT ? I have the
GCD540-B and it wouldn't work with the original driver, that came with WARP.
Even the Fixpack 10 wouldn't do. However, right after that fixpack, IBM released
a fix for the CMD640 and RZ1000 problems. The package contains the newest
refresh of IBMIDECD.FLT driver and it worked ! I guess if Buddy's driver is new
and it works with the CDROM you might as well use it. On the IBM compatibility
list for hardware, they list both GCD-520B (double speed) and GCD-540B (get the
pattern ;) ?), as CD-ROMS that need to use IBMIDECD.FLT. However the original
returned TRAP002 ERRCD (looks like a CDROM trap, doesn't it ?). Try it out and
see how it goes.
Good luck,
Martin
