This worked for me. I had a bad time setting up the 4X CDROM,
mainly because I was in too much of a hurry, and I'm not that smart.
BASEDEV=IBMIDECD.FLT
BASEDEV=IBM1S506.ADD
BASEDEV=CL_IDE.FLT
Don't mix up the order of these. Also, don't depend so much on 'Selective
Install'. I avoid it when I can. The results are much more satisfactory.
Also, find the .flt files and the .add files and put them on the installation disks.
Then there is the dumb stuff, like making sure the path, libpath, etc. can find the files.
If that doesn't work, there's a guy on the Web, in the Warp Pharmacy, who adds
several switches to the .add file that are designed to jump-start the CDROM. Now that
mine is working, flawlessly, it was worth the bother.
