has anyone managed to successfully run the Escape 2.1 screensaver with a Matrox card? I'm trying to run it with driver 2.13.053 on a 4MB Matrox Mill at 1024x768 and 16M colours on a K6 233 t won't run with dive enabled ( it gives displaced multiple images and strippy images), and VERY slowly with it disabled. I've tried the config.sys line suggested in the documentation with no effect. Any ideas? Any luck? I'd try using Matrox's 2.14.054 version of the driver, supposedly they fixed several problems, and I noticed a difference especially in the chess game when I upgraded... the new drivers are at http://www.matroxusers.com , I think they also fixed some EnDIVE stuff in this release of the driver... Driver version 2.20.055 and BIOS 2.9 although with earlier (2.13 and 2.14 drivers it worked also). In CONFIG.SYS I've only the following OpenGL 3D settings (Pentium (?)/Pentium Pro optimizing driver): DEVICE=C:\OS2\OS2OGL.SYS SET OGL_VIDEO_MEM_SIZE=4 Regards, Ilkka Karppinen PTW. Setting Fast Single Buffering Enabled in Escape makes atleast 3D Lines draw more quickly.

I had to add the following lines to my config.sys REM *** OpenGL correction for Matrox video driver problem SET OGL_BIT_COUNT=32 SET OGL_SCANLINE_SIZE=4096 Works fine now. DIVE and ENDIVE enabled. Warp Connect, FP35, 2.20.055 drivers. Needless to say, it runs MUCH faster on my new P-II 400mhz 128meg machine than on my P133mhz 96meg machine. But the OGL fixes to config.sys did the trick. -- // // Darryl Sperber (sperber@airmail.net) //

How did you find out about OGL_VIDEO_MEM_SIZE? (Probably from one of the first 2, I expect.) TIA, Greg

You can find it from WARP 4 Device Driver Pak (probably also from IBM's corresponding www-pages). It's in the \drivers directory on a name OS2OGL.ZIP. > Where did you get Escape 2.1 from? (PP200) I don't know how you knew about this in the first place, but thanks anyway! Got 2.1 from Snow Storm. (Had 2.0 already.) Cheers, Greg
