My client is selling special-purpose turnkey OS/2 systems. They are planning to use IBM 6887KAE 100-MHz Pentiums with S3 Trio 64V+ (onboard, I think) video controllers. We'd like to know if we should anticipate any problems related to this video controller. Also, if these customers machines use plain VGA (640 x 480, 16 colors), and don't have Windows at all, and stay in PM graphics mode, how likely is it that we might experience these known lockups or video problems, if any? Thanks for any help. - Keith -- -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Keith Bennett Bennett Business Solutions, Inc. Each vendor's implementation is somewhat different, but I have been using an S3Trio64V+ based video adapter with OS/2 Warp 3.0 and Fixpak 17 and the 2.5x release of the S3 drivers for several months and Warp 4.0 and the 2.81 release of the S3 drivers for about two months. I had no video related problems under 3.0. Since moving to Warp 4.0, I have had no problems at all. >Thanks for any help. You're welcome. Ross

I tried the OS/2 drivers from the vendor, NO luck! One word, you have to follow the instructions provided with the drivers and follow them to the T. Once installed they work perfectly and I have not experienced any difficulty and I have tested them in a variety of resolutions and modes. Good Luck, Sue
