In an old PCWorld, I found a solution to this by |adding | |DRIVPARM= /D:0/F:7 | You have a defective change-line, which is a very common but rather unimportant fault in diskette drives. To stop OS/2 from trying to use the change-line, you must edit all config.sys copies. I did this a couple of times with earlier versions, and remember it took a bit of looking around to find the source of the config generated during installation. The settings are: BASEDEV=IBM1FLPY.ADD /V /A:0 /U:0 /CL:NONE for only A: drive, and BASEDEV=IBM1FLPY.ADD /V /A:0 /U:0 /CL:NONE /U:1 /CL:NONE for bot A: and B: drives | |Email: imrryr@aol.com |(I would prefer this since I don't read the newsgroups that often) You really should put "POSTER" in the FOLLOWUP-TO field in that case. And this has nothing in comp.os.os2.apps to do, so I removed that from the Newsgroups line. Remember that many people use software that automatically deletes postings that are cross-posted to more than a few newsgroups or to newsgroups which are not supposed to have much in common. A massively cross-posted message may meet with less response than an accurately focused posting, and the responses will often be of lower quality (many of the more knowledgable prefer to filter out the noise, killing serious but heavily cross-posted items in the process).
