(Maybe) Problem with BACKUP and RESTORE of very large ZIP file ...

We often use ZIP and then BACKUP (in OS2) to backup our hard disk
but have encountered excessive number of CRC errors while RESTORing the
backuped disks. Is this a known problem with the use of ZIP and BACKUP ?
Generally our ZIPped files are over 10MB and therefore requires at least
a dozen of 3.5 HD disks (sometimes over 20 disks!!) to BACKUP the archive
file.

Any suggestion on backuping a very large zip file ? Any alternative
(from ftp?) ?

We also have access to ZOO, ARJ and LHA but have not used them as serious
as above.

Please respond to eric\@cs.su.oz.au as I do not subscribe to this group.
