We have an exabyte 8500 tape drive here (it can read/write both 2GB and 5GB tapes), but when initializing new tapes it seems to default to the 2GB mode. This drive replaces another 8500 that we had, but that one defaulted to 5GB mode. I've heard that there is a jumper inside the unit that changes which mode it defaults to. Can anyone help me find that jumper? -- Russ Caslis rcaslis@uci.edu
