I've got a SCSI card that has ST-01 printed on it, and a 105 3.5" HH Quantum hard drive taken from inside of a NeXTstation. I cannot get them to work together. The ST-01 recognizes the drive to the extent that it pops up a message on bootup telling what to do to prepare the SCSI drive for formatting, but when actually using the ROM formatting commands errors occur. When installed it also seems to keep Linux from booting up properly. Is there an incompatibility between the ST-01 and certain SCSI disks? Do I have to set the jumpers on the card or drive in any particular way? Can somebody send me the jumper settings for the drive and the card? Thanks, Doug DeJulio ddj+@cmu.edu
