The current version of the 2.1 FAP manual (SC30-3422-2, March 1991)
describes the APPN End-Node (EN) protocols, which includes a fair
amount of insignt into APPN networking.  Regarding the publication of
APPN Network-Node (NN) protocols, ivory letter 292-167 (3/25) says that
full details would be published, although I didn't see an availability
date when I scanned the letter just now.

Regarding VTAM support for APPN, I was wrong:  it's not available yet,
but ivory letter 292-168 (3/25) for VTAM 4.1 says that it's coming
(again, there is no specific date mentioned).
