Hi There!
The installation of X.25 software on DECNET V for Ultrix was not a problem. But
some thing is going awry. If we try to have a x29login to a DECNET phase IV machine it is not possible. It works otherway around without any problem.
However, if we just open a x29login from a Phase IV machine to Phase V machine
the x29login from the DECNET phase V to phase IV starts fuctioning suddenly!
We have on one machine DECNET Phase V for Ultrix and on the other DECNET Phase
IV for VMS.
It is not possible to go around this DECNET Phase IV machine for us as this
machine is the one connecting us to the X.25 SWITCH.
Is it possible to still communicate with x29login without having the dummy loginfrom the Phase IV to Phase V?
Without this dummy login if we try for a x29login from the ultrix machine (phaseV) the error message is following:
ERR x29login:Call not established
Call cleared - protocol failure!
Thanks for any help in advance!!!!!
-Mishra
