IMHO these two are rather different protos. PPP uses different proce-
ssing on outgoing/incoming IP datagramm. It uses so called HDLC driver.
The next difference in user interface. PPP uses PPPD - PPP daemon, wich
waits for connection requests from PPP , establish it by running
UUCP style calling & login script & finally put PPP module under IP
to allow them to send datagramms.

But, is PPP itself responsible for proper routing after establishing
the PPP connection - this is a question !?
Suppose I have IP provider with IP 222.222.222.222 ,which should be
used as default route to outside world. How do I say to PPP to start
connection to 222.222.222.222, when I want to make
	ftp sco.com ???
Should I use route add default 222.222.222.222 1 before it ?
But phisycal interface doesn't exist this time yet ?
IMHO , as PPP stands for Point-to-Point, it doesn't allow use
it for routing at all :(

A asked some :) SCO tech. about PPP in TCP 1.2.0 - & was replied
it's based on _old_ RFC , so it doesn't work good enough with modern
	PPPs.
But as for TCP 1.2.1 - PPP should be very robust in this release ...
Thus I was told, at least...

By what mean ? PPP or SLIP ?

Do you mean all those chains we can see doing "netconfig" are
	removed now ? Including sl[n],ppp,& loopback ?

What is xc ? Does it come with ODT 3.0 ?
This way, how all those STREAMS modules are bring to obtain
	a SLIP interface ?
