Okay, this is a legitimate gripe. However, how are you supposed to take
"defensive" action when you don't know the nature of the problem. The
specific message that I criticized was one that said there is a problem
with login. Great, that helps me alot. Maybe I would just disable the
login command until further notice?

Part of having our SCO boxes "on the net" is to allow us easy
communication with our counterparts, and share information about
many things -- including potential security problems. Postings such as
the one I criticized offer nothing but wasted bandwidth.
