This error is easy to reproduce: open your desktop boot file by holding down
shift and double clicking. Find a line with xxx ADFS::$.xxx in it.
(Filer_OpenDir ADFS::$.xxx... for instance). Place the cursor between the
two colons and press return. Save the file, press control/break and up comes
your error.

So you're looking for something similar in your boot file or possibly in the
boot/run file of something called by the desktop boot file. You've probably
left the cursor in position and pressed return without realising that window
had the input focus, and later saved the file.
