This sounds like the same problem I had setting up Newsbase to work with
my own transport. It's a bug in Newsbase 0.54n, which causes it to forget
about certain transport commands (like 'getinfiles'). Your best bet is to
move to an earlier (0.54m) or later (0.55) version, both of which seem to
work fine. Alternatively, I have a hack for 0.54n - email me if you really
want to use this version and I'll send it to you.
