For the past few months I have been getting mail arriving on my machine that shouldn't be. I've never had a response from postmaster at the site or from the users who lost their mail. Lately I've been getting several messages a day from them and it's getting a pain trying to deal with it by hand. I've not had any reply to my mail to demon to ask the site to get themselves sorted out either. The site is lorien.demon.co.uk and they appear to be subnetting various unix machines running linux on PC's. Many different mailers have been used but the only common thing I can see is they all come via lorien.uniplex-net. I noticed that all come from (someone@localhost [127.0.0.1]) is a loopback addres normal for mail transfered like that or should they have set up their network with the correct subnet addresses. The loopback address is not always quoted. Is there any software to bounce mail back through a filter adding an automated message? Short of mailbombing them how can I get their attention and sort this out. Here is one of the headers I received. usernames have been changed to protect the innocent.
