Memory protection Amiga none, Mac none, dos none. (having programmed all of them they can all be trashed) Virtual Memory Amiga addon, Mac os but needs it (who else but Apple would ship LC's with 2MB ram and Sys7 that uses all of it?) Printer drivers Amiga device independent, lots avail., Mac very few, expensive, no choice. Device independent graphics/sound. Amiga yes, Mac yes. (the amiga sound and graphics is just as device independent as the mac, if you go through the OS (Toolbox), and quite often with the Mac you have to use the lowest standard sound to remain compatible) Structured objects ??? are they so good. Why is a screen shot a PICT? Resources Are wonderful things for manipulating a progam interface, but do make for a more interesting (and complex) file handling system. Don't get me wrong I like the Mac (It has earnt me money) but the amiga has a lot of advantages (and disadvantages) when compared to a mac. Paul Connor
