Actually, what I meant to ask is, does anyone know how to set up an A500
so I can access the web? If anyone knows of a shareware disk with the
right software, that's not too hard to set up, please let me know.

Well.. That depends..
To get "real" access to the net you need to set up AmiTCP with PPP
support.

That's all you should need. You do need an account with PPP.

You could also test the MLink software. (Don't know much about that)

It would most certainly help if you would supply just a
little bit more info about your system. Just saying that you
have an A500 doesn't tell us much.

If it's bare then you'd be better off just using a terminal
program and an Async/Shell account.

I have an A500 which I have expanded and accelerated to make it capable of
running internet software and at decent speed. I am running AmiTCP4.0 with
PPP1.45 (registered) although SLIP and CSLIP are available free with the
AmiTCP distribution (a dialup script needs to be used with those). I have
AmigaDos 3.1 and a 250Mb hard disk (the internet software files are quite
large!). Also I am running a Supra 28MHz 68000cpu (which allows decent
speed) over the net. Most of the software you will need is available on
Aminet - and those files are often available through your service provider or
Amiga oriented BBS's.

Your best bet is to find someone in your community already connected and
willing to help you install and configure the software.

Good luck

Rudy
