Hello. I will be returning to University in August were we have
Ethernet connections in the dorms. I ontained somewhere an illicit
version of AmiTCP 4.1 (upgraded to 4.2) but when I was there BootPConfig
would not work! In fact, I had to resort to using AmiTCP 4.0 and HACKING
my dynamic IP address! It sucked. I would like to REGISTER AmiTCP but
don't want to waste $90 I don't have for product that won't do what I
need! /If anyone has successfully used BootP before, or unsuccessfully,
please let me know! Caveats would help. I really wanna register, but if
the only version th\at I KNOW will work is the demoversion, I would
simply be throwing away money. Btw, I'm using Ethernet. :) icard.device.
An updated version that didn't work right with somethingorother that was
funky in AmiTCP but that the great Interworks guys fixed at my request
(I-Card, and a harddrive replacement, that's why I'm broke! ;)
Any help is appreciated.
