So I thought: I'll set up a line that let's folks either send a fax or dial up a private bbs...UUCP, faxgetty, GPFax and Trinity 2.0 (I'm an animator and video editor, *not* a programmer, but I wade through the manuals and try to get things working on my own. Anyway: the fax is automatically detected and works. The data caller gets sent a bunch of garble and the logfile says "(date-time) Getty,-, Set Params Error 1 " The Trinity manual says that the way to get a node to work with UUCP is to run TrinityBBS -sSerial.device -u0 -b<baud rate>. -s = serial device used -u = unit number -b = baud rate. My getty password entry is "guest,*,2,2,(Guest_login),Trinity:,s:bbs_startup Any thoughts as to what bonehead move I've made, or how one gets this happening? My un-educated opinion is that, although, Trinity is *supposed* to have an ARexx port name, it doesn't show up (I have all the required libs), so I can't send the proper baud rate result to it. Thanks gazillions. What version of getty? -- // Michael B. Smith \X/ mbs@adastra.cvl.va.us

Your using Getty to answer and pass control around right? GPFax doesn't
have its hand on the serial device at this time.
