DC Public School seeks Apple //e serial cards, cables, comm s/w

Hine JHS, a public school in Southeast DC, wants to put five of its Apple
//e's on the Internet, as "dumb terminals" on their Unix host. To do
that, they're seeking five serial cards, preferably fast ones, five
longish (20-30 ft) serial cables, and telecom shareware/freeware that
emulates vt-100s.

They'd prefer a donation, of course, but some money is available to
purchase these items, if necessary.

If you've got any or all this -- used is fine -- available to donate or
sell, please email me. I'm one of the volunteers working with the
teachers, staff, and students there.

Thanks.

I can't help you with the cables or cards, but in my experience, Kermit
v3.87 (the latest, I believe) does the best VT100 emulation on the Apple
II, and is free! I'm sure someone else here can give you an FTP
location for it.
