Hi DEC fans -
I am looking for a utility (preferably with source so that I can port
it if needed) that will allow me to manipulate RT-11 archives on a
UNIX system. On ULTRIX-32/VAX there is the utility "arff" that does
exactly what I want, but it ONLY works on a VAX and there's only binaries
given out. Is there another way to go about this task, say on a PC based
UNIX system? Public domain? Off-the-cuff hacks?
Here is the first part of the man page for "arff", just for info:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Name
arff - archiver for RT-11 format devices
Syntax
/etc/arff key
Description
The arff command manipulates RT-11 formatted devices, such as the
console media on VAX computers, or RT-11 formatted device images
stored as a file on your ULTRIX system. The key argument is a
single letter, possibly followed by one or more letters. Possible
values for key follow:
etc.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
I offer a *heap* of thanks in advance!
