Well... The title says it all, pretty much, but perhaps I should babble
and describe my situation...

I am wondering what other alternatives to Digitals Pathworks exist, if
any. Hopefully if anything exists, there will be something that falls into
PD/shareware/freeware! Why? Pathworks for my particular desires comes to
about $1500, when you add in the VMS software and the OS/2 software...
Ive got an Ethernet card in my PS/2 already, so the physcial connection
is no problem...

At the least, Im looking for a term program that will allow me to use
the Ethernet line as a simple terminal session, if possible? At least,
this way, I can test out the connection and use it until Pathworks
arrives at my site (which may take months; we are a government office,
and the wheels turn VERY slow. I was suprised to get the Ethernet card
in as fast as it did...)

Or, at the other end of the spectrum, would be something that offers
a similar function to Pathworks. All that fun stuff, like client/server,
etc etc...

Like I said above, I would really like it to be free :-) Or at least
cheap enough that I can pay for it out of my own pocket (and take it
with me when I leave!).

Any ideas?

Please reply via e-mail, and if I get enough responses, and a suitable
solution, Ill post a summary if anyone wants...

Thanx!
