This is possibly an FAQ and also an RTFM but I havent any FMs so:

The VT420 which I am writting this on has an option in the setup to
adjust the screens position and rotation. Can this be done remotely?
ie thru escape sequences etc. Please belive me when I say I dont want to
annoy other people but just use it for my own ammusment when Im drunk
or something...
