I've been experiencing some strange problems with Xwst. Certain applications, gnuplot and a new presentation package I've been beta-testing, fail to display text properly when I run Xwst on my two-headed display. They run fine on a regular display with Xtm2d. I thought the problem was a font problem initially, but now I think it has something to do with the server. For one thing, the problems vary depending on how the window is displayed. Another user ran the same program and found that part of the text was displayed, only in the wrong location. And gnuplot would display the text for a brief instant, and then clear it; if the window was resized, the text might appear again, though not necessarily in the right location. I'd blame the applications except that they run okay on a vanilla server... Does anyone have any suggestions/insight for me? Many thanks for any help. -- Fred Douglis Matsushita Information Technology Laboratory | Email: douglis@mitl.com 182 Nassau Street | Phone: +1 609 497-4600 Princeton, NJ 08542 USA | Fax: +1 609 497-4013
