We are using MacX to connect to a Vax via Ethernet.
When we get a Microsoft mail message notification we will experience a
"Application unexpectedly quit with a type 1 error".

OK, when we first reported this via DSNlink, the response
we received (DSN%SRQ$A920930-859) was

1. Must be a hardware error in your Mac, or
2. A programming error on the part of the applications error.
3. Nobody else has reported this.
4. "We cannot be of any further help".

We can reproduce the problem reliably without involving ANY VAX application.

1. Run MacX INFOServer, perusing Bookreader topics, whilst in 32 bit mempory
   addressing mode.
2. Have someone else send MSmail messages to you.

BUT, if we switch to 24 bit addressing mode, the problem disappears. No MSMail
msgs cause the error to appear.

Questions:

A. Anybody else seen this one?
B. Is MacX not tuned for a 32 bit memory addressing mode?

Please post or email (only to the addresses in the .Sig below).
