Is it possible to use an RRD40 on a MicroVAX 3100 model 80? I realize I can connect it to the SCSI port on the back, but I'm unsure whether I need to worry about synchronous vs asynchronous transfers and SCSI-2 vs earlier implementations. Is the RRD40 SCSI-2 compatible? Does using an asynchronous device on the same bus as the synchronous disks cause any problems , performance or otherwise? ======================================================================== Malcolm Dunnett Malaspina College Email: dunnett@mala.bc.ca Computer Services Nanaimo, B.C.
