Well, 

at long last I am able to report that the ln03r et al printing software to give
you more features is up on gatekeeper.

It is in the directory /pub/DEC/ln0356r.tar, available for anonymous FTP I 
believe ...

The specialized PostScript features such as "-N" (number up),
"-L" (layup files), "-K" (double sided), and ansi translation
are supported only for PrintServers (i.e., LPS20s and '40s).  With just
a little hacking, though, you can get it to work for LN0[356]rs,
and LF*r printers too, because much of the work necessary to use
Postscript printers with the PrintServer Client software exists,
it just isn't supported.

These directions assume you have a working postscript, that you want
to enable these features on.  All other printcap fields operate
normally, only add/change the ones we describe below.
You should be sure to have the latest lpd and lat patches (available from your
CSC) for V4.1 and V4.2.
