What is LA10X-EP ??

This weekend, I picked up a surplus DEC LA10X-EP. This is a
small box, about 3"Wx1"Hx6"D, and is fitted with a Centronics
connecter and a female DB-25.

It looks like it should be a serial to parallel converter. Is
this true ? It would be very useful to me if it was.

Inside, the PCB contains 6 DIP switches - I assume these select
the baud rate and character format. Does anyone know the switch
definitions ?

Thanks,
Bob Armstrong
