Scenario:

ftp gatekeeper.dec.com

(login as anonymous, email addr for passwd)

cd pub/DEC/DECinfo/infosheet

get (something, I've tried several files always the same response)

No control connection for command: Bad file number                      
can't find list of remote files, oops                                   

and then goes to

227 Entering Passive Mode (16,1,0,2,11,197)                             
No primary connection                                                   
       
       
What does all this indicate? Is the problem at our end
(that's quite likely)? Does anyone know how to fix this?
