Who do I ask, or where do I look, to find programming idioms/macros/ whatever to help me get good code out of OSF/1 C? Specifically, I coded ... = ppixel->r; ... = ppixel->g; ... = ppixel->b; (a pixel being 4 bytes, suitably aligned since it was malloc'd) and the compiler insisted on doing 3 loads. -- Don D.C.Lindsay Carnegie Mellon Computer Science
