Warning: the below is a clueless question, people with weak hearts or a tendancy to flame clueless users should press n I run a standalone 6420, and want to start experimenting with clusters, mainly, my VAXstation 2000 clustered to the 6420, and have some questions. Ive read the system managers manual chapter regarding VAX clusters, and know that I have to run SYS$MANAGER:CLUSTER_CONFIG before I can do anything, but I need more info before I go damaging things. The VAXstation 2000 in question has an RD52 (40mb) drive, and an Ethernet port (DESVA?). Ive got a free port off the DELNI connected to the 6420, so transport isnt a problem. When I run CLUSTER_CONFIG, will I be able to boot the 2000 off the 6420? And from there, will I be able to format the RD drive on the 2000 via the net connection? I think everything that I need from the 6420 is there, such as DECnet, etc... Im sure there is a lot I am missing here, never actually doing such a thing, but the above is my major concern.
