Vax <-> 68882 Floating Point Format Inquiry

I would like to transfer a few hundred megabytes of data from our Vax to my
newly purchased NeXt system (68030/68882 processors). Since most of the data is
in floating point binary format, I would need to find an algorithm to convert
the 4 Vax bytes representing a float into the 4 NeXt bytes representing a
float. (I also thing that the 68882 uses ANSI representation of floats.)

I am sure I am not the first person to run into this problem, so if anyone
could send me a program (or an algorithm) that converts one of these floats
into the other,II would very much appreciate it.
