It looks like newfs(8) is getting a bogus size from somewhere.  It could
be that the disktab entry has the wrong size for the C partition or that
where was old partition table on the disk that was lying to newfs(8) when
it created the file system.  To forcibly override the size you can use the
-s option of newfs(8).
