I am trying to get a 3.5inch 180Meg Fujitsu M2614SA running on a
DECstation 3100. I have built a kernel that recognizes the drive, but
am having trouble formatting it. Here is the entry I am using for it
in /usr/sys/data/scsi_data.c (the real entry is all one line)
{"FUJITSU M2614S", 14, DEV_LTL_FUJI,SZ_DISK,sz_ltl_fuji_sizes,
SCSI_TRYSYNC|SCSI_STARTUNIT|SCSI_REQSNS|SCSI_READCAPACITY, 1000000 },
Here is what happens when I try to use rzdisk to format the drive.
ROOT>>rzdisk -f vendor /dev/rrz1c
FORMATTING A DISK DESTROYS ALL DATA!!!
ARE YOU SURE (y/n)? y
YOU ARE FORMATTING THE DEVICE (/dev/rrz1c)!!!
IS THIS CORRECT (y/n)? y
Formatting device (/dev/rrz1c).

I have tried combinations of the following drive configurations:
SCSI bus parity - Execute and Not Execute
Permission synchronous mode - Execute and Not Execute
Has anyone seen this behavior? Does anyone know what it means?
