The drums are good for about 1 1/2 black toner cartridges. If the drum has some miles on then it's worth experimenting with. I used one of the white cleanup cloths that come with the toner cartridges dipped in a little bit of isopropyl alcohol to clean a drum one time. It seemed to work.
